Stop giving away your data, start using your platform

Your followers are not yours. Your data is not yours. Your community is not yours. As long as you build on foreign land, you are a digital oppressor. It's time to take control.
Who is really looking at your page?
You sit at the table, scroll through your phone, and watch the numbers grow with satisfaction. 500 followers. 2,000. 10,000. A sense of success. But if you could look through the screen — like through an X-ray — you'd see a completely different story.
Your data flows from your phone like blood from an open wound. Every click, every like, every message splits into three streams: the first goes to the corporate tower with social network logos, the second to the government control center, and the third to the dark market, where your information is sold without your knowledge.
Bots, trolls and fake friends
Silhouettes sit around you — each with a different face, but all connected by the same puppet hand somewhere above. These are bots. Trolls. Fake profiles paid for by governments, corporations and interest groups.
That counter that shows 10,000 followers? Take a magnifying glass and take a closer look. 60% are bots. 15% are control accounts — agencies that collect data about you and your members. Only 25% are real people. A quarter. Out of all your followers, only one in four is a real person.
What lies beneath the surface
Under your chair are hatches to the dark underworld. The same infrastructure that powers your beautiful feed of sunsets and motivational quotes also powers:
- Human trafficking — recruiting victims through private groups and marketplaces
- Selling weapons — in closed groups, hidden behind emoji codes
- Drug trafficking — direct messages, story posts that disappear within 24 hours
- Child exploitation — algorithms that actively serve content to pedophiles
- Money laundering — through marketplaces and sponsored ads
- Identity theft — the data the platform protected is already on the dark web
This is not a conspiracy theory. These are documented cases reported by investigative journalists around the world. Facebook, Instagram, TikTok — all have been caught facilitating these activities. Not because we encourage them, but because their business model is built on scale, not security.
A surveillance apparatus pretending to be a playground
Every post you make on social media feeds this system. Any data you share becomes theirs — not yours. Each of your members is exposed — not just to algorithms, but to the entire chain of data collection, profiling and exploitation.
Platforms are not free because they are charitable. They are free because YOU are the product. Your attention, your data, your habits — they're selling it all to advertisers, data brokers, and, as we've seen, countries.
When the platform is free, you pay with your data. When your data is on a foreign server, it is no longer yours. Once they are no longer yours, you have no control over who sees them, who buys them, and who abuses them.
A window on the wall — there is an alternative
But there's a window behind your back. Through it you see a bright alternative: your website, on your domain, with a small community of REAL people, protected by a golden shield.
On our own platform:
- YOU decide who accesses your members' data
- There are no bots, trolls or fake profiles — because YOU control the registration
- There is no government control without a legal basis — because it's YOUR servers, YOUR terms
- There is no hidden underground — because your community is not open to the whole world
- There are no algorithms to serve harmful content to your members
- GDPR compliance YOU control — not Mark Zuckerberg
The beginning of the awakening
One of your eyes is already opening. The hand is already moving away from the phone. You're starting to notice that the numbers aren't what you thought. That reach is not what they sell you. That a community is not a community if it is built on foundations that you do not control.
The transition is not difficult. It's not expensive. It requires no technical knowledge. It only requires a decision: will you continue to give away your information, or will you take control.
Eventure — your platform, your data, your community
Eventure is built with one goal in mind: to give organizations back ownership of their digital presence. No intermediaries. No algorithms. Unsupervised.
- Every member is YOUR contact — email, name, consent
- Your events, your store, your community — all under one roof
- No one can close your page or stifle your reach
- The data remains on servers in the EU, under GDPR protection
- No algorithm decides who sees what — you post, they see
Social media should be a megaphone, not your home. Use them to invite people — but bring them to YOU.
Stop giving away your information. Start mastering your platform.
